Hearty congratulations to Konakkupakkattil Gopinathan Balakrishnan for his new appointment as Chief Justice of India. But one point is mystifying: Why is everyone talking about his being a Dalit? We claim to be a secular country. The man should be known for his deeds and not for his caste. He himself says, “People from all communities helped me throughout my career, though I can’t say that I did not have my share of problems. But I learnt early to take things sportingly - that was the only way to overcome it.”
And the part not published
This type of propaganda can raise question on the honesty of the Supreme Court, may force any so called Upper caste person about the right ness of justice or any "dalit" about getting some extra benefits. Both are dangerous to Nation, So please stop this utter nonsense.
